Crisis Response team

Lesser Slave Lake Indian Regional Council Crisis Response Team currently has 17 members. Our team members are First Nations from Elders to Culture Support Knowledge Members.

OUR Training

Crisis Response Team is trained in the following:

Standard First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, ASISIT, Crisis Response Planning, Critical Incident Group Debriefing, Assisting Individuals in Crisis, De-escalating Potentially Violent Situations, Walking through Grief, SafeTALK Prevention, Straight Talk, Tattered Teddies, Little Cub, Self Injury Behaviour Assessment and Support, Understanding Suicide, Intimate Partner Violence and Domestic Abuse, Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention Strategies, Reclaiming Our Scared Voice, Opioid Awareness & Naloxone Training, First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training,  Spiritual & Psychological First Aid, Community, School & Workplace Bullying & Harassment Awareness Training, Mental Health First Aid First Nations, & Traditional Parenting.
